In a long distance relationship, holiday's spent away from your loved one can be a definite downer, but Trinity offers a lot of holiday activities like Halloween Hotcakes to easy your pining soul.  Throughout the fall, with Thanksgiving, Christmas and other holidays, its important to not dwell on the absence of your significant other, but rather, be involved in the Trinity holiday spirit, and spread cheer to your boyfriend or girlfriend.  Try baking a batch of cookies and sending them to your loved one, even a simple, "Thinking of You" card is surely welcomed.  Also, if cooking is too difficult, filling a box with candy or instant hot chocolate packages as a post-Halloween surprise is always nice.  Remember to keep yourself occupied and try and focus on the positive things in your relationship.  Trinity provides ample opportunities to take advantage of, and to be involved.  One upcoming event is the annual Fall Drag Show.  While it may not be your first choice of holiday escapades, the Drag Show guarantees a good laugh, and enough fake eyelashes and fishnets for an entire year.  Also upcoming is the premiere of the Urinetown, a play put on by Trinity's Drama Department.  All in all, there are plenty of activities, even in the wake of the holidays, to keep everyone busy.  If you find yourself down and bummed, try a Skype-date with your boyfriend or girlfriend and maybe watch a movie at the same time, even a television show will work, and just try and hang out like you normally would.  Forcing conversation and calling non-stop can seem nagging and, because remember, your loved one is busy too.  Basically, making it through the holiday season irritating separated from your loved one is tough, but there are a few things you can do to assuage the sadness.
